Join OpenSidewalks #Walktober24 #MapToTheVote 30-day virtual team challenge and use the GoInfoGame app to map local voting centers and surrounding areas.
To play, users must visit their chosen point of interest and navigate a virtual map view filled with easy-to-tap icons representing various ‘quests.’ Each quest is a simple survey aimed at collecting missing labels in pedestrian data. For example, you might be asked to identify whether a sidewalk is made of concrete, asphalt, or another material. GoInfoGame may handle multiple quests for a single feature, such as asking several questions in a row about one bus stop. Your answers are submitted directly to OpenStreetMap, earning you feedback and recognition for your valuable contributions—all under your OpenStreetMap account.
Ahead of this election season, we want to encourage everyone to plan their route to local voting center. So, in the coming month, we are inviting you to form a team and map out pedestrian infrastructure to help people who need to make informed decisions about their travel to voting locations, ballot boxes and post offices.
