May 21, 2026

The Washington Transportation Professionals Forum and Peer Exchange brought together transportation professionals from across Washington to share updates, best practices, and peer learning on transportation issues of statewide significance.

The forum included participants from cities, counties, tribes, WSDOT, MPOs/RTPOs, state agencies, transit agencies, ports, railroads, nonprofits, consultants, and vendors.

The May 19 agenda included sessions on SEPA categorical exemptions and infill housing, speed limit setting for local agencies, WSDOT multimodal level of service standards, and OS_CONNECT for active transportation improvements.

TCAT’s work connects most directly to the session on “Using OS_CONNECT for Active Transportation Improvements,” which relates to accessible transportation data, active transportation planning, and tools that help agencies identify and improve barriers in the built environment.

Agenda:
8:30-10:00 AM: SEPA Categorical Exemptions and Infill Housing: Managing Transportation Needs
10:00-11:00 AM: Safe System Approach to Speed Limit Setting for Local Agencies
11:00-11:15 AM: WSDOT Multimodal Level of Service Standards Update
