Help make FIFA fan sites more accessible for everyone
Join a live AVIV ScoutRoute challenge to improve accessibility data around fan zones, event destinations, and registered businesses across Seattle, Tacoma, and Bremerton.
What it is: A live team accessibility mapping challenge
Platform: AVIV ScoutRoute
Impact: AccessMap FIFA edition and local access datasets
Volunteer hours: May be registered through Benevity
Accessibility information should exist before people arrive
Visitors and residents need better information about entrances, curb ramps, crossings, and other access features that affect real mobility decisions during major events.
- Nondrivers need dependable pedestrian data to move independently and confidently.
- Visitors should feel included when traveling to fan events, businesses, and surrounding destinations.
- The impact continues after FIFA through AccessMap and indoor entryway and pathway datasets used in Seattle, Tacoma, and Bremerton.
How you’ll participate
- Join a team and open quests in AVIV ScoutRoute.
- Collect or validate access details at real destinations.
- Watch your progress appear on the live leaderboard.
Data impact
- Supports the AccessMap.app FIFA edition.
- Adds indoor entryway data.
- Adds indoor pathway data for Seattle, Tacoma, and Bremerton.
- Adds informal shuttle and bus stop information.
