Accessible Content Authoring Tools – Graphic journaling night at Blink UX
Content authoring tools are what allow “authors” to produce digital and print content. Given accessible authoring tools, more people are able to tell their own stories and be creators, rather than just spectators or consumers. In addition to making content creation more accessible and inclusive, these technologies have the power to build communities around art, identity, and learning.
Join us for a casual night of (non-alcoholic) drinks, snacks, and drawing! Featuring a demonstration and discussion from Amara S., we’ll hear about the tips, tricks, trials, and tribulations of self-publishing graphic novels. Afterward, attendees will be asked to complete a survey about their experience.
This event is sponsored by the Taskar Center for Accessible Technology (TCAT). TCAT focuses on the design, development, and deployment of open-source technologies that improve access for people with disabilities.
